GranGala Week Day 1b: Gran Orange BBQ Sauce

– 1/2 cup GranGala Triple Orange Liqueur
– 3 tbs Butter
– 3 tbs Canola Oil
– 1 cup Chopped Onion
– 3/4 cup Ketchup
– 1/2 cup Cider Vinegar
– 1/2 cup Apple Juice
– 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
– 1/4 cup Dark Molasses
– 2 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
– 1/2 tsp Coarse Ground Pepper
– 1/2 tsp Salt

In a saucepan, melt butter with oil over medium heat. Add onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine; reduce heat to low and cook until thickened, about 30-45 minutes. Stir often. Makes 4 cups.
