My Special Pork Rum-Rub

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup non-funky, drier rum (I use Mt. Gay for this)
  • 1 tablespoon Ancho chile power
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Mix, apply to your pork and let marinate for up to an hour, then smoke your pork per your normal preferences.
